The boy's got talent. You did have me a bit confused for a minute - The last two I didn't realize you had pics underneath the featured ones, so I did a double take - a bit of an "Escher" moment.
The top one strikes me as a solitary moment, while waiting, pensively, in an institution - hospital or maybe a school, but hospital is what's calling to me. Inner angst and turmoil, waiting for a moment you know is coming, but don't want to happen - the loss of a loved one.
-- Doesn't every guy have a leather bomber? My 19YO daughter has appropriated mine of so many years, now that I've "outgrown" it. An ephemeral James Dean moment, captured on canvass.
-- The classic still life's with contrasting colors, textures, shapes. I can almost smell the oranges (Clementines?!).
And, your last painting - that Winter wilderness would be a welcome respite from the heat we've been experiencing as of late. Wild, but quiet and reflective. Thanks for sharing, Gus.
